Thinking about getting a pet, but would like to get your new pet for free? This article has a few ideas on how to get free pets. Finding free pets isn’t impossible and I will give you ideas that can help you to find what you are looking for.

You can find free pets online at craiglist.org. Choose your city and then in the “community” section click on “pets” and you will end up at the pet classified ads page. There are many people trying to sell their pets in this section but sometimes you will see adds about free pets.

There are many kinds of reasons why they give their dogs and puppies for free. Maybe they moving to an apartment building that won’t allow them to bring pet. And maybe they have a dog that just gave birth to a litter of puppies and they do not have enough friends who want a new puppy.

There are some other ideas how you can get free pets :

1. If you really want to get a pet, but you want to get it for free, you can look at newspaper. Many local newspaper have a section under classifieds : pets. There are a list of some pets available and the prices. Look at the list, there maybe a section that states “free” and you can get free pets!

2. Craigslist has a section for pets too. They can be for a price, an adoption fee, or free.

3. Go to your local vet clinic. Maybe they know any client who is giving up their pet. Sometimes, the client has to get rid of pet due to moving, age or their pet is having babies and they can’t care for.

4. You can go to your local supermarket. Maybe there are flyers which offer free pets.

5. You can go to freecycle.com. You can see if others are posting there and you can post a request for free pets under “wanted”. After you post a request, maybe it will takes a few days to get response.
